Memorial services for Warren E. Moore, 82, of San Antonio, Texas, who died October 6, at Hamilton House, were held October 13, 1998, in San Antonio.
Warren was born July 25, 1916, in Knoxville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Moore.
He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1934. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps intending to become a career pilot. He earned his commission as a Captain before receiving a disability discharge, with the prediction that he had only six months to live.
He regained his health though, and spent several years as a sales manager for a developer who was building houses on the east coast. Subsequently, he and his family lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for two years.
He later served as Parks Superintendent in Brownsville, Texas for several years.
He and his wife then moved to California, where he was employed as an auditor for Bank of America.
At that time they studied for the ministry and were ordained as Warren Moore ministers of the Spiritualist Church in California. They served as guest ministers in churches in and around Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1992.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen; a son, Kevin; and a sister, Gwendolyn Brooks of San Antonio, Texas.
