Services for Helen Violet Calhoun, 79, former Iowa Electric Light and Power Company employee, Knoxville, who died Dec. 27, 1979 at her home, were held Dec. 29 at Williams Funeral Home.

Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiated at the services with interment in Graceland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gene Sinnard, Leland Mocn, Armond Ravera, Grant Rankin, Marla Vickroy and Danny Wooldridge. Anna was organist and Dawn McKay was vocalist.

Mrs. Calhoun was born Nov. 15, 1900 at Quincy. Ill., the daughter of John B. and Nellie Hamerick Huber.

She graduated from Knoxville High School and married Cid William Calhoun June 1920. They made their home in Knoxville where he operated a barber shop.

She was employed by the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company in Knoxville for over 32 years,

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Of Knoxville, the United Methodist Women and the Susannah Circle. She was also a member of the Knoxville Women's. Club and the American Legion.

She was very active in Knoxville Chapter No, 85, Order of Eastern Star, serving as its Worthy Matron in 1958 and as Grand Representative to Nova Scotia and Prince Island in 1958-59.

She was a member of the Knoxville past Matron's Club.

Survivors are her husband, Claude of Knoxville; son, Charles Calhoun, Anamosa; one grandson, David of Davenport and several other relatives.
