Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Durham, who died April 25 at the Mahaska hospital were held April 27, from First Methodist church with Rev. Carl E. Wilson officiating.

Burial was in Graceland cemetery. Evans Arlington Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers were Jim Riggen, Lester Durham, Donald Verros, Norman Chrisman, Nick Guerts and Lloyd Rietveldt. Mrs. Elizabeth Elliott, organist accompanied Mrs. Esther Miller, Soloist.

Vera Dana, daughter of Ernest and Myrtle Fee Covey, was born June 2, 1902, on a farm near Knoxville.

She graduated from Knoxville high school and taught for five years in Marion county rural schools. On April 14, 1928, she was married to David E. Durham and to this union one son was born.

She was a member of First Methodist Church and served as secretary and treasurer of her home school for 20 years.

Her parents, one sister and husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, James Preston Durham; two grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
