Funeral services for Veneti Minnie Harvey of Melcher, who passed away September 13, 1978 at Lucas County Memorial Hospital, Chariton, were held September 15 at the New Hope United Methodist Church, Melcher. Rev. Jerry Oliver officiated at the services.
Organ selections for the services were provided by JoAnn Luksetich, organist.
Casketbearers were Jerry Harvey, Lyle Harvey, Larry Harvey, Danny Harvey, Michael Mathes, and Tim Mathes.
Interment was in Gosport Cemetery, Marion County.
Veneti Minnie Harvey was born August 12, 1905 in Marion County, the daughter of Otis and Frances Bingaman Grimes.
On March 12, 1927, she was united in marriage to Perry Harvey in Knoxville.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father.
Survivors include her husband, Perry Harvey; one son, William N. Harvey of R.R. Dallas;
one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Carol) Mathes of Dallas; one sister, Cleo Anderson of Columbia; five grandchildren and one great – grandchild.
