Funeral services for Veda (Fee) Kendrick, 69, of Knoxville, who died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003 at Griffin Nursing Center, were held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.

Rev. Peter J. Peterson officiated at the services. Music was provided by Midge Brooks, organist. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Casketbearers were Gregory Fee, Jeff Fee, Mark Fee, Ned Fee, Tim Fee, and Ronnie Hall.

Veda was born on March 25, 1934, in Marion County, the daughter of Timothy and Violet (Noftsger) Fee.

She graduated from Knoxville High School and then went to work for the Knoxville Hospital as a clerk.

On July 2, 1954 she married James Kendrick at the Eden Church, west of Knoxville. To this union two children were born, James and Peggy.

Veda worked at the hospital for over 40 years, before retiring in 1994.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vivian Rowley; and a brother, Don Fee.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; a son, James of Pella; a daughter,

Peggy Morgan of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Jamie and Kellie; three brothers, Bill Fee of Dallas, Ross Fee of Knoxville, and Lester Fee of Eddyville; two sisters, Velma Perkey of Knoxville and Verdadean Allen of Bussey and many other family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
