Services for Tommy Kent (T.K.) Wignall, 22, died on Dec. 27. 1985 at his home in
Ames was held on Dec. 31 at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Evans-McCleery
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry,
organist, and Stephanie Young, soloist. Pallbearers were Rick Kaster, Jim Polansky,
Doug Young, Kevin Hultman, Dave Wozniack, and Brian Tietjens.

Mr. Wignall was born on April 28, 1963, in Des Moines.

He attended Knoxville Schools, graduating in 1981.
He was a four-year letterman in track, captain of the 1980 State Cross Country Team,
and in 1981 was third in the Drake Relays 3100 meter run, 2nd in the State High
School Cross Country Meet, and the recipient of the Ken Locke Award, signifying
the outstanding senior male athlete at Knoxville High School.

At the time of his death, he was a senior at Iowa State University and a member of the University
Track Team.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Greg Stults
of Knoxville; his father and stepmother, Tom, Jr. and Sandy Wignall of Gravois Mills,
Mo.; four brothers, Dan Wignall of San Diego, Calif., David Wignall of Knoxville,
and Gregory and Michael Stults, both of Knoxville; one sister, Nikki Wignall of
Booneville, Mo.; his paternal grandparents, Tom, Sr. and Mae Wignall of Knoxville;
his maternal grandparents, George and Lena Callen of Ottumwa; and his paternal great
grandmother, Grace Roberts of Knoxville.

A memorial has been established for the Knoxville High School Track Fund.
