Tim Minella was born September 12, 1947 in Knoxville, IA to Don Loui and Rosemary Shobe Minella.

He married Dorothy “Dee” Knight on July 1, 1997.

Growing up in Harvey, IA, he graduated with the Class of 1965, Knoxville High School. Tim served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Rosenman’s and Universal Rundle.

He enjoyed drag racing, fishing, and camping. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Dee; a son, Jeff (Dovie) Minella of Ottumwa; three daughters, Amanda (Eric) Noel of Cedar Rapids, Audrey (Ryan) Cowman of Ottumwa, Ashlee Jones (Jeremy Pieples) of Carmel, IN; nine grandchildren, Erica, Emily, Trent, Chloe, Brianna, Clayton, Kaitlyn, Zoe, and Kele; his mother-in-law, Cheryl (Richard) Randolph.

He was preceded in death by his mother; father-in-law, Richard Knight, Sr., and son-in-law, Adam Mitchell.

Tim died on January 12, 2019.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Allison officiating.
Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post # 775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. His body will be cremated after the service.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
