Funeral services for Terry Miller, 55, of Indio, Calif., formerly of Knoxville, who died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Indio, were held Thursday, March 14, at the Elks Lodge in Indio, California. Rev. Dean Moore officiated at the services.
Interment was at Staging Area 5 in Riverside National Cemetery under direction of FitzHenry Funeral Home, Indio. Graveside services were conducted by the Marine Honor Guard.
Terry was born on July 12, 1946, in Oregon City, Ore. He was the son of Allan and Marjorie Miller. He grew up and attended school in Knoxville. He served in the Marines and was in Vietnam during that time.
He married Margaret L. Goerz on August 3, 1973, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allan.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Shawn; his mother, Marjorie of Knoxville; and two brothers, Anthony of Knoxville and Michael of Des Moines.
