Teresa (Mikesell) Mendenhall Miller died January 10, 2010, at her home in Knoxville, Iowa
The funeral service for Teresa Miller, 51, of Knoxville, will be held on Thursday, January
13 at 11:00 a.m. at Celebrate Community Church with Rev. Charlie McMillian officiating.
Burial will follow at Dallas Cemetery near Dallas, Iowa. Visitation will be held
on Wednesday, January 12 beginning after 1:00 p.m. with the family present from
6-8 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the
family.
Teresa was born on April 26, 1959, to Hough and Elizabeth (Clare) Mikesell
in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Teresa grew up in Knoxville and attended Knoxville schools.
She married Darl Mendenhall in 1976. They divorced after 18 years of marriage. Teresa
later married Mike Miller on December 10, 1996, in Knoxville.
Teresa was a good mother
and hard worker and held several different positions in area businesses. She retired
from Nobbies in Des Moines. Teresa loved spending time with her friends. She enjoyed
caring for birds and absolutely loved the 4th of July and Christmas. Teresa’s family
was the most important thing to her, caring for her children and grandchildren was
everything to her.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Mike Miller of Knoxville,
(Corey Osborn) of Knoxville, IA; Brandi Mendenhall (Michelle Spadin) of Knoxville, 4 children, William Mendenhall (Lisa Pierce) of Woodburn, IA; Shawna Mendenhall
IA; and Patrick Miller of Knoxville, IA; 5 grandchildren, Taylor Mendenhall, Dee
Jay Osborn, Lexi Mendenhall, Alexis Osborn, Mikey Osborn, her mother, Elizabeth
Mikesell, her sister, Pati and husband Dan Daily of Knoxville, IA; and her mother-in-law,
Carolyn Miller, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Liz Miller, and Charlie Miller.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Hough, and father-in-law Bud Miller.
