Graveside services for Steven Joseph Wolett, 33, of Knoxville, who died on Thursday, August 24, 2000 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held on Monday, August 28, 2000 at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Ms. Annette Grimes officiated at the services.
Steven was born on March 18, 1967 in Knoxville, the son of Margaret Ann Culver and Howard David Wolett. He grew up in Knoxville. Steven worked at various jobs in construction and gas stations in Knoxville, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Arizona, California and Kentucky
Steven had a special place in his heart for his brothers, sister and parents. He helped his sister, Lori and Tyler paint her home and cut wood. Steven was a loyal friend who would help do anything needed.
Steven enjoyed country music. His favorite possessions were a VW Rabbit, Chevy pick-up Mercury and Oldsmobile car and leather jacket.
Steven was preceded in death by two grandfathers; one grandmother; and one sister
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Wolett of Knoxville; his father, Howard Wolett; two brothers, David Wolett of Knoxville and Martin Wolett of Colfax; one grandmother Leone Chrisman of Corydon; several nieces and nephews as well as friends and other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in Knoxville. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
