Steven Duane Neil, 53, of Perth Amboy, N.J., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at his home.
Born Sept. 12, 1954, in Lahnsthul, Germany, he was the son of Wilbur and Joan Myers Neil. On June 25, 1977, he married Kathleen Rubi in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Mr. Neil served in the Army. He coached Hopelawn Youth Organization Baseball League and Perth Amboy Red Raiders Football.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Samuel Van Neil of Perth Amboy; two daughters, Julianna Neil and Sara Neil, both of Perth Amboy; his parents of Gilbertsville, Ky; and two brothers, Michael Neil of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Jerry Neil of Banner Elk, N.C.
The funeral for Mr. Neil will be at 1 p.m. Monday at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Earl Beal officiating.
