Services for Stacey Michael Washington, 30, Marshalltown, who died on July 15, 1993,
at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were July 11, 1993, at the Bybee
and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.

Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
The Rev. Dick Edgar officiated at the service. Music was provided by Jim Kidder
and Georgia Lewis. Pallbearers were Doug Wiese, Joe Riley, Mark Fizer, Jean Zarger,
Jeff Schultz and David Crawford.

Stacey was born on Sept. 22, 1962, in Des Moines,
the son of Olious and Mary Washington. He attended Knoxville Public Schools and
graduated from Knoxville High School in the Class of 1982, where he excelled in
cross country track, wrestling, and FFA.

On Dec. 4, 1989, he was married to Marjorie
Knox in Marshalltown. He was employed by Donaldson's Manufacturing in Grinnell as
a welder for the past seven years. He was a member of the United Automobile, Aerospace
, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America UAW. He was preceded in death by his
grandma and maternal grandfathers; and one brother, Olious Washington. III in 1988.

Survivors include his wife of Marshalltown; one son, Stacey Washington, Jr. of the
home; two daughters, Sheena and Jennifer of the home; his father and mother of Knoxville;
four brothers, Tracy Washington of Blaine, Minn., Marvin Washington, James Washington
and Kenneth Washington, all of Knoxville; two sisters, Michelle Jordan of Grinnell
and Desiree Washington of Knoxville; his grandmother, Marguerite Washington of
Knoxville and Tetter West of Navasota, Texas.
