Scott Randall Burnett 35, of Knoxville,
died Sunday, August 22, 1999 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, from head injuries sustained in a fall at home. Services were held on August 25, 1999,
at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.

Burial was at Lincoln Cemetery in Marion
County. The Rev. John W. Long officiated at the services. Music was provided by
Geoff Shultz, organist, and Katie Davis, vocalist. Pallbearers were Dean Dingeman,
Scott Graves, Craig Johnson, Steve Martenson, Steve Neighbors, Alan Robuck, Ryan
Robuck, Kenny Sutter, and Curtis Underwood. Honorary bearers were Jeff Burnett and
Todd Burnett.

Scott was born September 21, 1963, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Judith
Ann Popma and John Shivvers Burnett. He graduated from Knoxville High School in
1982. He was active in the high school marching band and was an Eagle Scout.

After
the high school he attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. He began working
for 3M in Knoxville in 1984 and was an operations specialist in the tape coding
department at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents
and maternal grandfather. He is survived by his parents of Knoxville; two brothers,
Todd of Knoxville and Jeff of Coralville; his grandmother, Thelma Popma of Knoxville;
two nieces, Madison and Katie Burnett; and two nephews, Chad and Christopher Burnett.
Memorials may be made to the Knoxville Marching Band, and the Knoxville Humane Society.

Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.
