Funeral services for Sarah Mae (Dailey) Rinehart, 69, of Knoxville, who died of a heart attack, February 25, 1998 at her home, were held February 28, 1998, at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion County. The Rev. Bob Ward officiated
at the services. Music was provided by Linda Gehling, organist, and Bob Morris,
vocalist. Pallbearers were Roy Jahner, Shane Jahner, Dwight Johnston, Mark McRoberts,
Steve McRoberts, and Justin Smith.
Sarah was born February 20, 1929, in Knoxville,
the daughter of Esther Eldora Thomas and Ernest Calvin Dailey. She graduated from
Knoxville High School in 1947.
She was united in marriage to William Benton Rinehart
in 1950, in Walla Walla, Wash. The couple worked together raising sheep and attending
sales. They were<br /> 4-H leaders for many years. She was actively involved at the Knoxville
Raceway, working and organizing concessions for the Saturday night races. She was
a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, Bill; three brothers, Merle, Howard and Robert; and two sisters,
Lois and Hilda.
She is survived by two foster daughters, Ginger Smith of Holts Summit,
Mo., and Brenda Williams of Okeechobee, Fla.; a sister, Helen Beaver of Cheyenne,
Wyo.; two brothers, George Dailey of Knoxville, and Edgar Dailey of Branson, Mo.;
and special friend John Kirsh.
Memorials may be made to Marion County 4-H, and the
Christian Opportunity Center. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home,
Knoxville.
