Sarah 0. (Bailey) Ryerson, daughter of Chester and Ruth Bailey, was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Knoxville.

She attended the local schools and was graduated from the Knoxville high school in 1944 where she had been a leader in many worth-while activities. Her leadership and dependability were fittingly recognized when she was awarded the coveted ring of the Girl Reserves.

On Sept. 8, 1945, she was united in marriage to Robert 0. Ryerson. in the First Methodist church parsonage, Knoxville. A lovely baby daughter, Sharon Lynn, came to bless this union May 19, 1946, and with her mother perished in the flash fire that swept their farm home, Mar. 4, 1947.

Sarah was a member of the First Methodist Church of Knoxville and Sharon Lynn was one of God's little ones of whom Jesus said; "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Mrs. Ryerson and baby daughter, Sharon Lynn are survived by the husband and father, Robert 0. Ryerson; Mrs. Ryerson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bailey, two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Clark and Mrs. Billy King and one brother, Richard; also two aunts and four uncles.

Sharon Lynn also leaves her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hixon of Eldora, great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rowley of Knoxville, one uncle, and several other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday, March 7 from the Bybee & Davis funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Paul M. Hann. Burial was in the Breckenridge cemetery.
