Ruth Taylor05/12/2011
Ruth Ileene (Taylor) Pinegar was the daughter of Frank and Francis McClintic Taylor. She was born at her parent’s home on a farm near New Virginia in Warren County, Iowa, a New Year’s baby, on January 2, 1940.

Ruth was baptized in the Methodist Church in New Virginia and attended a country grade school near there. She graduated from Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Iowa with the Class of 1958. Attending school was not an easy trek for Ruth as she often said they had to walk to school rather than ride or drive.

Ruth and Jack Arlen Pinegar were united in marriage on May 26, 1958, at Moulton, Iowa, and to this union, five children were born: Timmy Joe, Tammy Jean, Todd Jon, Teena Jane, and Toni Joy.
Ruth and Jack lived in Knoxville for a year while she worked as a waitress and server at Beulah’s Cafe.

In 1959 they moved to Marysville, Iowa where they began raising their family and Ruth worked for the Continental Overall Factory.

In 1970 she became an employee of the Rolscreen Company in Pella, Iowa. Ruth, Jack, and their family moved to Pella in 1979. Ruth had 27 years of perfect attendance of the 29 years she was employed by the Pella Corporation when she retired in December of 1999. She was very proud of this!
Ruth enjoyed retirement while she and Jack camped with their special friends, Dick and Sherrie Clark, and the Dakota outlaws.

They enjoyed square dancing and she was a singer in a country western band. Her family was always important to her and she maintained an active interest in their activities. She enjoyed sports, and reading, became computer literate, and was fond of their cat, Gracie.

Ruth was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 and passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House in Pella at the age of 71 years, four months and 10 days.

Ruth is survived by her faithful husband, Jack, with whom she would have celebrated 53 years of married life and their family.
