Funeral services for Ruth Marie Murr, 72, of Chariton, were held on Monday, November 25, 2000, at the Columbia Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Sparks of the Columbia Methodist Church officiated at the services
Ruth was born on October 14, 1928 to Thomas Henry and Mayme Lahmon Murr. She was raised and had lived in Marion County most of her life before moving to Chariton.
Ruth died of a heart ailment Saturday, November 23, 2000 at Chariton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Chariton.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two brothers, Edd Murr of Knoxville and Don Murr of Pleasantville; as well as nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at the Chariton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where Ruth had lived.
Arrangements were made by Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas.
