Ronald “Ron” Paul Crews the only, son of Paul and Vesta Crews born May 24, 1942
in Creston, Iowa passed away suddenly in his home in Cottonwood, California, Saturday, October 22, 2011.

Shortly after having graduated from Knoxville High School in 1960, he enlisted in the USA Air Force, attached with the 5th Bombardment Wing at Travis Air Force Base and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was employed by Pacific Bell Telephone for 16 years.

Ron had a passion for boating which led him to establish his own business known
as California Custom Marine; located north of Redding and was the owner/operator
for more than twenty-five years. He has many friends in the boating industry,
through Ranger Boats and Pro Bass fishing.

You could always count on Ron to be there with his beloved dog Susie at his side. His dedication, commitment, and friendship have left a Wake that cannot be duplicated. He also loved the outdoors and nature as well as hunting.

Ron retired in 2008, moving to Lake California, where he loved to cruise the lake and entertain his family and friends.

He was predeceased in death by his Mother and Father and is survived by his wife Judy, two Sisters Pat (Don) Frey and Cathie Carter, of Knoxville, Iowa, and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He also leaves six stepchildren; Jason (Jean) Crews of Vacaville, CA, Jill (Todd) Blackwell of Sacramento, CA, Mike DellaBona and Dennis DellaBona of Mt. Shasta, CA, Brenda DellaBona of Ogden, UT and Brian DellaBona of Anchorage. AK.

Arrangements were made by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson, California (365-5466).
