Ronald Arthur "Ron" Wagner, 77 yrs, old of Valdosta, GA passed away on August 21, 2015 after losing a long battle with cancer.
He was born December 29, 1938 in Kansas City , MO.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1958 where he was stationed in California and Korea. He later served in the U.S. Army Reserves at Ft. Benning, GA where he met the love of his life. Betty Sue Harris and was married in Valdosto, GA, in 1961. He was honorable discharged in 1964.

He had been married 54 years. He enjoyed many hobbies such as coaching little league baseball teams, umpiring games, golfing, and most of all teaching people how to putt in his living room using soup cans and tissue boxes as cups. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church for several years and served with the Promise Keepers.

He retired from Walmart where he worked in Loss and Prevention.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Betty Wagner, his daughters Kim (Wagner) Beck, Pamela Wagner and Kristi Arredondo, and his son, Anthony (Tony) Wagner.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lena Wagner, his sister, Constance (Connie) Walsh and his son Ronald Wagner , Jr.

Visitation will be held at Fraser Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25 from 6-8 pm. The graveside service and burial will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Road at 11:30.

Rev Jack Sapp will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ron.
