Dr. Ronald Wayne Vandenberg, 57, of Bettendorf passed away unexpectedly Tuesday,
May 22, 2012 at Genesis East Medical Center.
Private family services will be held
at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Lions Club. On line condolences

Ronald was born June 3, 1954 in Knoxville, IA to Donald & Dorothy (Cummings) Vandenberg.
He was married to Susan Murphy for 22 years prior to their divorce. Ronald was a doctor of optometry and was a sole practitioner in Bettendorf for many years. He
was a member of the Iowa Optometric Association and a former member of the Bettendorf
Lions Club.
Survivors include 2 daughters Jessica Marie & Kelsey Elizabeth Vandenberg both of
Naperville, IL; a sister Sheryl (Chip) Bellamy, Golden, CO; 2 nieces Caroline Bellamy,
Boulder, Co and Courtney Bellamy, Denver, Co.
