Roger Wayne Henning, age 61, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his home in Des Moines.
Roger was born November 5, 1962, in Knoxville, Iowa to Ronald and Patricia (Crozier) Henning.
He was known for his hard-working nature and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he met.
He loved to fish and spent a lot of time by the water. He also enjoyed playing cards, often gathering with friends for lively games.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kimberly; daughter, Courtney Henning, step-son, Joshua Morton; sister, Rhonda (Denny) Broughton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Tyler Henning.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, followed by cremation.
Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Lincoln Cemetery in Knoxville, IA on September 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
