Roger Carroll Brown was born February 25, 1945 in Pleasantville, Iowa, the son of
Ralph Brown and Berniece Heaberlin Brown.

He was raised in Knoxville and joined
the United States Army on April 21, 1964, in Knoxville. Roger was united in marriage
to Patty VandeKamp on April 26, 1969, in Knoxville.

He worked at Maytag in Newton,
drove a truck for Vince Orr, and also worked at the V.A. in housekeeping. Roger loved
hunting and trapping. He also enjoyed joking around with family and friends. He
loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and was also a big Chicago Bears
fan.

Roger passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at his home at the age of 64 years,
2 months and 17 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, uncle, David Heaberlin,
granddaughter, Haley Breezes, and Grandma Harrison. Roger is survived by his wife, Patty;Roger Brown

children, Michelle (Bryan) Brees, Tony Brown, and Monte Brown all of Knoxville,
Melissa Brown of Newton; 5 grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley), and Paige Brown,
Josh and Abby Brees, Madison Brown; brother, Rodney (Mary) Brown of Cuba, MO; and
a sister Nina (Barry) Arnett of Knoxville.
