Funeral services for Robert Dale Elliott, who died March 14, 1978, at his home in
Sunrise Beach, Mo., were held March 17 from the First United Methodist, Church of
Knoxville with Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiating, Music was provided by Mrs. Richard
Hunt, soloist, and Mrs. Anna Oscarson, organist, Members of the American Legion
Post No. 168 served as pallbearers and conducted the military rites at the gravesite.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Bob was born in Knoxville on October 25, 1912,
the son of Ray E. (b.1886-d.1940) and Eva West (b.1890-d.1940) Elliott. He attended school in Knoxville and graduated
from high school with the Class of 1930.

Bob was united in marriage to Ruth Holt
of Pleasantville on February 4, 1933 at Unionville. Mo. Following their marriage,
Bob and Ruth lived in Long Beach, Calif., where Bob was employed as a photograph
for the local newspaper. In 1938, the family returned to Knoxville where he established
the Elliott Studio which he operated until his retirement in 1976.

Preceding him
in death were his parents and sister. Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Sunrise
Beach, Mo.; three sons, Dennis of Princeton, NJ., Norman of Columbus. Ohio. and
Steven of Knoxville: and three grandchildren.
