Robert Lee Dixon Sr., age 74, of Mesa, Ariz.,
passed away on Jan. 28 2015 at home with his family.

Bob was born on Dec. 10, 1940, in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1959 where he played the trombone.

Bob married his high school sweetheart Marie Davies on June 18, 1961.

From this union three children were born, Lori Ann (Storm), Robert Lee II and Amy Jo (Olson).

Bob worked for Safeway as a meat department manager for 46 years and also served in the Air National Guard as a Communications Specialist for 19 years.

He enjoyed and took pride in volunteering for the Mesa Police Department as a Victimology and Crisis Intervention Specialist for five years from 2003 – 08 during his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, three children. Lori (Jeff), Robert (Julia) and Amy (Tim), five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Pat Schafer (Ken) and half-brother, Jack Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Anderson (Spaur), his father, Gerald Dixon, grandparents, Walter and Eva Spaur.

There will be a private memorial service for the family and donations in his honor can be made to the American Cancer Society.

He was a loving and caring friend, husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
