Richard Lynn (Huss) Gowdy, Jr., also known as Rick Huss, 55, formerly of Knoxville, died Aug. 4, 2004, at the Genesis Medical Center-East Campus in Davenport.
Private services were held in Davenport and memorial services were held on Aug. 8 in Sacramento, Calif.
Gowdy was born on Oct. 19, 1948, in Newton, the son of Richard L. and Merlin Gowdy Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Gowdy, Sr.
He is survived by a special friend and companion of many years, Roberta Packard of Davenport; his mother, Merlin Huss of Sacramento; two sisters, Chris Martin of Sacramento and Ellen DeJong of Springfield, Mo.; and brother, Dale Huss of Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Arrangements were made by Halligan – McCabe – DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport.
