Funeral services for Reid Boothe, who died Nov. 23 at Lucas County Memorial Hospital, were held Nov, 26 at Chariton with Rev. Azel Smith of Paris, Mo., officiating. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.

Daniel Reid, son of Loa and Elva Millen Boothe was born on Jan. 30, 1923, in Marion County.

On Nov. 26, 1944, he was married to Vivian Jean Oswandel at Knoxville and the couple farmed near Knoxville, moving to the present farm in Lucas County in 1946.

He was a member of Lucas Fireman, Cattle and Hog Producers, served on the Extension Council 4–H, and on many 4-H committees.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; a son, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Karen) Boothe of Chariton; his parents; a sister Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Mary Helen) Hixson of Knoxville and a nephew, Richard Hixson of Knoxville.
