Randy Jay Long of Des Moines died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Methodist Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1944, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Henry Long and Juanita Anderson.
He was married to Barbara Long for more than 40 years. He was a long-time employee of Super Value and a Teamster member.
Randy was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; his children, Ron and Charice (Rob) Gomez; two grandchildren, Camrynn and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his parents and many siblings.
