Phyllis Colleen (Crabb) Harvey was an only child born to Paul and Mabel (Welch) Crabb. She was born on February 24, 1935, in Milo, Iowa. Phyllis graduated from Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Iowa in 1953 and attended AIB in Des Moines, Iowa.
Phyllis and Teddy Lee Harvey were united in marriage on August 13, 1952, in Knoxville. They lived in Santa Ana, California while Ted was serving with the United States Marines.
Following his discharge, they lived in Knoxville briefly before moving to Nacogdoches, Texas, where Ted worked for Southern Pacific Railroad until 1957.
They then returned to Knoxville to the Gosport area and during this time their six children were born: David Paul, Kathy Elaine, Roger Lee, John Keith who died in infancy, Susan Luann, and Galen Keith. Phyllis worked for Gavin Realty and she and Ted were both employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital until their retirements.
They enjoyed their retirements especially traveling all over the United States and much of Europe. Phyllis enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She collected porcelain boxes, cookbooks, and angels, and was an avid reader.
Phyllis appreciated classical music and for enjoyment loved flying and dabbled doing stunt flying in her plane. For many years she and Ted were members of the New Covenant Church in Knoxville. Ted passed away on July 16, 2017, at the age of 87 which left Phyllis mourning and earnestly waiting to join him in Heaven. She passed away on December 31, 2022, also at the age of 87 years.
