Services for Pamela Emerson, age 53, will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Celebrate Community Church in Knoxville. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher.

Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society or the Quality Home Care Professionals in Knoxville. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.

Pamela was born August 23, 1959, in Iowa City, Iowa to Delmar and Patricia Hoch. She was raised in Knoxville and attended Knoxville High School.

She was blessed with four children: Kimberly, Aubrey, John and Joel. Pamela had worked at Rollscreen, Mercy Medical Center, and EDS. In 2004 she was disabled in a motorcycle accident.

Pamela loved her dogs: BooBoo, Piggy, Elly, and Chloey. She was very caring, compassionate, and loved to laugh. She had a great sense of humor and often did things that were goofy and off the wall. She enjoyed photography and took some amazing photos of wildlife and nature. She liked going for walks, and gardening, loved all types of flowers, and loved to go shopping.

Pamela passed away on May 10, 2013.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Pat Bettis, grandmother, Vera Salsberry, stepsister, Chris Cooper, and brother-in-law, Bob Kaplan.

Pamela is survived by her children: Kimberly Murphy, Aubrey (James) Vanwaardhuizen, John Followill, and Joel Followill; 9 grandchildren; her father, Delmar (Gloria) Hoch; and siblings: Sherrie (Doug) Marshall, Brenda Kaplan, and Mary Kay Gould.

Also surviving are many extended family and many friends.
