Funeral services for Myrtle Mae (Caylor) Breuklander, 63, of Knoxville, who died June 17, 1996, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, were held June 20, 1996, at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
The Rev. Max Johnson officiated at the services. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist, and Sheena Seibert, soloist. Pallbearers were Rex Seibert, Aaron De Zwarte, Chris Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Steve Pickering, and Clifford Caylor. Honorary bearers were Greg Pickering and Eric Johnson.
Myrtle was born January 8, 1933, in Chariton, the daughter of Forrest and Nina Iverson Caylor.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1951, and later from the Des Moines Beauty School. She lived in Knoxville her entire life.
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, she also worked for Beulah’s Beauty Shop for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Barger of El Paso, Texas, Jeff Barger of Vancouver, Wash., and Randy Breuklander of Boone; two daughters, Teresa Seibert, and Pam De Zwarte, both of Knoxville; a brother, DeWayne Caylor of Knoxville; a sister, Carma Pickering of Knoxville; her long-time friend, Edith Brummel of Knoxville; and 10 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Radio Ministry.
