Morris H. Gleason, 90, passed away July 12, 2012 at Sunny View Care Center, Ankeny, Iowa.
Morris was born September 22, 1921 in Kellerton, Iowa, to Howard and Ida Gleason, Morris served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He retired from the State of Iowa Revenue Department in 1986.
After retirement he enjoyed many years of volunteering at Mercy Hospital and the Iowa Historical Library and Archives. He enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald and sister, Ruth Andrews. He is survived by his sister Vera Burzacott and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday at Iles-Grandview Park Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial.
