Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Jordan, who died April 28 at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held May 1 from Bybee & Davis Funeral home with Rev. Lester J. Hancock officiating. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Keith Covey, J. Preston Durham, Donald Goad, Ronald Adams, Marion Goff and Richard Rowland. Mrs. Mary Ellen Hall, organist, accompanied Richard Hunt, soloist.

Mildred Gail, daughter of Ernest and Myrtle Fee Covey, was born Dec. 23, 1904 on a farm south of Knoxville, and spent her entire life in this community. She graduated from Knoxville high school and taught school for seven years.

She was married June 13, 1931 to Dee Albert Jordan at Newton.

She was a member of Eden Methodist Church, Neighborhood Garden Club and served for many years in leadership functions in the 4-H and Farm Bureau.

Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Dee; a daughter Mrs. Merle (Jolene) Harrington; a son; Daryl Jordan; one grandson; two brothers, Wayne Covey of Columbia, and Dwight Covey of Des Moines; and two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Goff and Mrs. Maxine Adams, Knoxville.
