Michael Allen Wooldridge was born on August 26, 1966, in Knoxville to Charles Allen
and Loretta Ann (Stubbs) Wooldridge. He was one of four children.
He grew up in Knoxville and graduated with the Class of 1985. After high school, Mike worked in construction,
at Swift Meat Packing in Des Moines and then for the last 13 years at Pella Corporation.
In his free time, he loved hunting.
On February 16, 2008, he was united in marriage to Ruth Burk. Mike passed away on May 22, 2009, in the Comfort House of Pella, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 42.
Mike is survived by his wife, Ruth; two step-children: Cody and Amber; his parents: Loretta Wooldridge and Chuck Wooldridge both of Knoxville; one brother: Dennis (Nancy) Toll of Hudson, Wisconsin; two sisters: Lori (Rodney) Derringer of Ankeny and Melody Wooldridge of Knoxville; five nieces and nephews: Brian, Christina, Cory, Ashley, and Andrea; one great nephew: Wyatt Michael.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Caroline and Ralph Stubbs, his grandfather: Ralph Wooldridge, and his grandmother Berta (Dale) Wooldridge. Visitation was at Winfield-Evans-McCleery Funeral Home.
Service at Celebrate Community Church, Knoxville, IA. The burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
