Michael Allen Stanley, 52, passed away on December 20, 2005 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Living Word Fellowship Church in Knoxville, Iowa.
Burial of his cremains was held in Indiana Cemetery near Attica, Iowa.
Michael was born December 4, 1953 in Oskaloosa, Iowa and lived most of his life in Knoxville, but spent the last year in Clive.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, and worked as a psychiatric nursing assistant at the V.A. Hospital in Knoxville.
He was a member of the Living Word Fellowship Church. He loved his dogs and the outdoors.
Michael will be greatly missed by his wife, Peggy; his two stepsons, Travis (Cheryl) Crawmer and Trent (Sheryl) Crawmer, both of Urbandale; his stepdaughter,
Traci Crawmer of Beaverdale; his four brothers, Steven (Meritta) Stanley of Attica, Iowa, Daniel Stanley, Robert Stanley and Phillip (Sherie) Stanley, all of Knoxville:
his five grandchildren, Ashley, Blake, Victoria, Justin and Madison Crawmer; his mother, Marie Stanley of Knoxville: and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father. Rolland Stanley and grandparents.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Youth Group of Living Word Fellowship Church or to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
