Michael Patrick Driscoll 69, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, after a long illness.
Born on May 13, 1954, in Keokuk, Iowa to James Driscoll and Margaret Mathews.

Soon after, Michael relocated to Mt Pleasant Iowa with his parents Don H. Long and Margaret M Long where he attended high school before the family relocated to Knoxville, Iowa.

Michael attended and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1972. He played many sports and was an all-conference selection in football and baseball. He also holds one of the oldest high school football records at the school, for the longest punt in 1971, 78 yards.

Following high school, Michael attended William Penn University. He graduated in 1976. During college, Michael was a 4-time letterman on the varsity baseball team and a member of Sigma Phi Sigma Fraternity.

Following college, Michael started a career in computer and communication technology in Des Moines Iowa. In 1979, Michael relocated to Laguna Hills California to accept a career opportunity in the industry.

Michael was married to a Southern California native Krista Webb in 1982. They formed a family of 2 children (Jeffrey Driscoll – 82, and Kimberly -85) and resided in Laguna Hills CA until their separation in 2015.
Michael’s career spanned over 44 years and engaged him in many national projects such as The Waldorf Astoria in New York, The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, and various other Wall Street projects.

Late in his career, he became an expert in the field of in-building cellular technology. This resulted in the creation of some of the largest projects on the West Coast for Irvine Company (Newport Beach) at Santa Clara Square and Irvine Spectrum.MIke Driscoll

Michael loved sports especially baseball and was a long-time season ticket holder for The Los Angeles Angels. He also had a great passion for The Iowa Hawkeyes.
In 2021, Michael retired from Irvine Company and relocated to Phoenix, AZ. After the illness diagnosis, Michael relocated to Durham, NC to be near his sister Karen and Duke University Medical Center. With all that has occurred, Micheal has maintained strong faith and a primary focus on his family.

Michael is preceded in death by his father James Driscoll. Those left to honor his memory are former spouse Krista Mary Driscoll, San Clemente, CA; Jeffrey Michael Driscoll, Amy Driscoll, Grandsons Clay and Cameron Driscoll, Boise ID. Kimberly Ann Driscoll, fiancé Derek Sansone, Dallas, TX. Parents Don H Long and Margaret M. Long of Knoxville, IA. Brother James Mattew Driscoll, nephew Dillon Mathew Driscoll, and niece Margaret Driscoll, Phoenix, AZ. Sister, Karen Renee Long, nieces Lyndsey Dawn Quady (Christopher) Cary, NC, and Jessica Elizabeth Turner, Durham, NC.
