Meredith R. Shive, son of John and Cora (Chrlsmore) Shive was born Feb. 6. 1909, in Knoxville, and after a sudden cerebral hemorrhage died April 19, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 52 years.
He attended the Knoxville schools, was in business in Des Moines and did farming in New Virginia, where he was active until the day of his death.
He was affiliated with the Knoxville First Methodist Church when living here.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
Those who survive are one sister, Mrs. Merrill Lawyer of Indianola, and several aunts, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Evans Arlington Chapel April 22 Interment in Graceland Cemetery.
