Melinda Sue Burns, 41, of Lincoln,
NE passed away on
Thursday, March 27, 2003 in
Lincoln, NE.
Born on May 19, 1961 in Storm
Lake, Iowa to Nyle and Lou Ann
Olson Burns. A graduate of
Knoxville, High School in 1979.
She was united in marriage to Brad
Myers in 1980 in Knoxville, Iowa.
From that union she leaves daughters
Nicole and Kendall Myers. She
is also survived by a son, Dylan
Hodges of Lincoln, NE.
Melinda loved playing cards and
games with family and friends. She
also liked to horseback ride and collected antiques.
She will be missed
by her family and friends.
Including her children, she is also
survived by parents, Mr. & Mrs.
Nyle Burns of Knoxville, Iowa;
brothers, Marty Burns of Cameron
MO, foster brother Jeff MacGregor
and his wife Pat of Spencer Iowa
and M. Doug Burns and his wife Mari of Esterville, Iowa; grandmother, Ruth Burns of Storm Lake, Iowa; Nephews, Lucas & Gabriiel Burns of Camerson, MO; nieces, McKenzie and Madison of Esterville, Iowa and Amie, Tracie & Jodi of Spencer, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Melinda was preceded in death by a brother, Michael; grandfather, Cliff Burns; grandparents, Gehardt and Katheryne Olson, and a very special friend William Hodges.
A visitation with family present will be held on April 1, 2003 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Sliefert Funeral Chapel in Marathon, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church in Marathon, Iowa at 11;00 am on April 2, 2003.
A visitation with family present will be held on April 4, 2003 from 6 pm to 8:00 pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Knoxville, Iowa.
