Maxine (Oswandel) Zimbelman was born March 25, 1930 in Knoxville, Iowa to Leslie and Maye (Jones) Oswandel, and entered into rest on December 12, 2014 at the Sterling House in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 84. Maxine was married to Merlyn Zimbelman on December 26, 1946 in St. Francis, Kansas.

She was a resident of Loveland, CO and a member of First Christian Church for over seventy years. Maxine enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening and working around the house.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Maxine is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Merlyn, her parents, one brother, Chet Oswandel and three sisters; Mildred Frazzini, Vivian Boothe and Wilma Hanning.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Earl) Powell and Karen (John) Fritzler, two brothers, Dwight (Kay) Oswandel and Verlin Oswandel, three grandchildren; Greg (Janeanne) Smith, Rick (Kyla) Smith, Shelley (Darren) Lantz, and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
