Memorial services for Maxine Joy (Brady) Reynolds – Allen, of Knoxville, who died December 15, at the
Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held December 17, 1996, at Bybee and Davis
Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, at a later date. The Rev. John States officiated at the services. Maxine was born September 26, 1907, in Marion
County, the daughter of Earl and Flossie Showers Brady.
She attended Knoxville Schools, graduating in 1926.
She was united in marriage to Corwin Reynolds on November 12, 1928. He died in 1946.
She married Raymond Allen on August 24, 1950. She worked for the VA Hospital for
25 years, and was a lifelong resident of Knoxville. She was a member of the First
Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a Past Matron, and
was a life member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Corwin; her husband Raymond;
and a son, Byrl. She is survived by a son, Ken Reynolds of Knoxville; five grandchildren,
and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church,
and the Marion County Care Facility Bird Sanctuary Fund.
