Services for Mary Jane (Sally) Franklin, who passed away April 11, 1989, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 50, were held April 14, 1989 at Coal Ridge Church in rural Knoxville with the Rev. Howard Seeley officiating. Music was provided by Lois Seeley, the pianist.

Casketbearers were Henry Showers, Cecil Showers, Larry Anderson, Richard Anderson, Roger Sytsma, and Joe Kennedy. Interment was in Coal Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1939, the daughter of Gilford and Fern Anderson Franklin in Knoxville. She attended grade school in Coal Ridge and graduated from the Knoxville Community High School. She also attended Central College in Pella.

She made her home in the Coal Ridge area all her life and was employed by the State of Iowa in Human Services in Knoxville for 28 years. She was a member of the Coal Ridge Church and was active in many organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by two brothers and their wives, William and Marjorie Franklin of Bay City, Tex., and Tom and Nancy Franklin of Columbia, MO.; and several aunts, nieces, and nephews.
