Mary Lee (Dainty) Sneller, 79, passed away on June 1st, 2011.
She was born on August
12, 1931, in Knoxville, Iowa to Frank and Mabel (Hendrix) Dainty.
Mary Lee is survived
by her sister, Connie (Dainty) Jordan, her children, Krista Patterson of Aptos,
CA, Marta Bach, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Janna Hubble of Nashville, TN, John Sneller
of Council Bluffs, IA, David Russell of Ankeny, IA and Judith Johnston of Lincoln,
MO, her sons and daughters in law, Mike Williams, Scott Patterson, Jim Johnston,
Byron Bach, Lisa Russell and Michelle Sneller, her fourteen grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin
(Barney) Sneller, brother, Arthur (Bud) Dainty, daughter, Lucinda (Cindy) Williams
and three grandchildren. Mary Lee was passionate about her family, sharing a cup
of coffee with friends, reading, playing games, and genealogy. She was a lifetime
member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church.
A graveside memorial service
will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, IA, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June
18th.
Following the service, a gathering to celebrate Mary Lee’s life will be held
from 3 to 5 at the First Christian Church, 120 West Main Street, Knoxville, IA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to
be decided at a later date.
