Marvin Eugene Miller was born June 29, 1933 in Dallas, Iowa the son of John and Alta (Loynachan) Miller.

He was raised in Marion County and graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1951. On December 24, 1952 Marvin was united in marriage to Alberta Kading.

The couple have always made their home in Marion County. Marv and Alberta farmed and had a welding and repair shop. Marv was very inventive and designed many unique implements for farming and other businesses. He enjoyed helping neighbors and people in the community.

Marv and Alberta enjoyed working together, and although they didn’t travel much, they enjoyed a trip to Branson most years.

Marv passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 85 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ron; sister, Marilyn Simpson and brother-in-law, Ronald Simpson.

Those left to honor Marv’s memory include his wife, Alberta; son, Don (Michelle) Miller of Satanta, Kansas; grandchildren: Joshua (Kristen) Miller, John (Shawn) Miller and Joseph (Shannon) Miller; great-grandchildren: Aysha, Danica, Zak, Ryleigh and Brantley; dear family friend, Leslie VanderLinden and a host of other family members and friends.

A Funeral Service for Marvin Miller, age 85 of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Comfort House in Pella.
