Marjorie Louise (Baker) Thomas, the daughter of Paul Edward and Leona Pearl (Shaffer) Baker, was born on December 23, 1933 in Newton, Iowa.
On April 18, 1953, Marjorie was united in marriage to James Charles Thomas in Knoxville, Iowa.
In 1956 they moved to California where they made their home. She was the loving mother of two children; Karen Kay and James Warren. She moved to Lake Villa, Illinois in 2001 after retirement to spend time with her grandchildren.
Marjorie passed away on August 22, 2008. She was 74 years old. Her parents; her husband, Jim in 1975, and three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two children Karen Thomas Baker of Huntington Beach, California, and James Warren Thomas of Grayslake, Illinois, and two grandchildren Kendra Renee Thomas and James Charles Thomas.
Graveside service was at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Iowa.
