Marion Lee Stoops, 49, of Harvey died Nov. 24, 1989, at his home. He was born April 8, 1940, in Oskaloosa to Donald and Louella Evans Stoops. He married Mary Estes
on April 14, 1961, in Knoxville.
He had lived in Harvey for the past eight years, living
in Colorado and Pella before that. He had worked at Pella Rolscreen and as a private
mechanic.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Traister of Pewaukee, Wisc., and
Donald of Bussey; three daughters, Rosa Evans of Harvey, Mary Stoops at home, Sylvia
Stoops of Mount Pleasant; his father of Knoxville, three grandchildren; a brother,
David Stoops of Des Moines; and two sisters, Donna Orr of Knoxville and Mary Jane Archer of Martinsdale.
He was preceded in death by his mother a brother; and a son.
The service was held at the Assembly of God Church in Harvey the Rev. Elizabeth
DeGreef officiated. Burial was in Liberty, Cemetery near Bussey.
An open memorial was established.
