Lois Marie Johnson, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Woodlands in the Meth-Wick Community.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Kay (Daniel) Mineck of Cedar Rapids; and two sons, Charles (Jane) Johnson of Wylie, Texas,
and Robert (Blanche) Johnson of Garland, Texas.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two sisters. Ruth Rodgers and Ella McDermott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents and brother.

Marie was born Jan. 11, 1919, in Knoxville, the daughter of John and Leah Ream. She married Charles Johnson on Nov. 4, 1939, in Knoxville.

She was a long time member of Cedar Christian Church.
Marie was an avid seamstress, a charter member of the American Sewing Guild and the 2002 recipient of their national Community Service Award.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Kingston Hill or the Meth-Wick Foundation.
