Margaret Jean (Murphy) Harris was born on July 03,1933 in Knoxville, Iowa to William and Carrie Murphy. There she was raised on a farm, with her brother Joseph Murphy, and that is where her love for gardening came from.
In 1948 she married Vernon L. Harris (b.Sep 12,1927-d.Jan 28, 1985), and they had a son Timothy Lee Harris. They later moved to southern California to be with family, and there they had another son Floyd William Harris and their daughter Cynthia Ann Harris (b.Feb 14,1956-d.Aug 23,2012). They later moved to Reno in 1967, opening a service station.
She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Murphy, June 6, 1997.
Margaret went back to school to obtain her Nursing Degree, and became a LPN until she retired. She was a loving mother to her three children, and a loving grandmother to her grandson Chad Allen Harris.
