Margaret Dennison Mann, daughter of R. H. and Jennie Bruett Dennison, was born southwest of Knoxville Aug. 18, 1905, and died at Collins Memorial Hospital May 5, at the age of 52 years.
On Feb. 15, 1935 she was united in marriage to Asa B. Mann of Thurman. They established their home in the Mount Olive community where they lived until her death. To this union was born one son, Dennis Ray, in 1950.
Her father preceded her in death 8 years ago. She is survived by her mother, husband, son and one sister, Enid Dennison, and other relatives.
She attended Knoxville High School. In 1929 she graduated from Simpson College, receiving her bachelor of music degree, and in 1933 from the Des Moines Capital City Commercial College. For many years she was a teacher in public schools of Iowa and in recent years taught in Dallas Consolidated School.
At an early age she united with the Mount Olive Church. She later transferred her membership to the Dallas Methodist Church where she was actvie in Sunday School work, music and other church activities.
She was interested in civic and community affairs, and at one time was director of the Marion County Women's Rural Chorus.
Memorial services will be conducted by the Rev. T. Ray Crewe assisted by the Rev. Althea Buck lew both of Dallas. Interment will be at Gosport Cemetery.
