Madonna Rae Courtney,70 years and 10 months, of Daytona Beach, Florida went home to her eternal reward on Monday, February 29, 2024.
Madonna was born in Knoxville, Iowa on April 19, 1953  to William James and Patricia Joyce (Beaver) Courtney.

Madonna grew up in Knoxville, Iowa graduating from Knoxville High School in 1971 before attending North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. Madonna returned to Knoxville, Iowa before completing her degree at North Central University, but that was not to be the end of her collegiate career.

After moving to Florida, Madonna enrolled at Southeastern University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Theology and Leadership in 2011 and a Master’s in Ministerial Leadership in 2013. In May 2012, Madonna became an ordained minister with the Assembly of God Church.

Madonna had a passion for children and spent most of her life as a children’s pastor in multiple churches in Iowa, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Augusta, Kansas.

When Madonna moved to Florida, she became the director of two different pregnancy crisis centers in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was also the former Assistant Pastor of Victorious Life Church in Post Orange, Florida.

No matter what her position Madonna touched a countless number of lives throughout her own life. She will be missed by many.

Madonna is survived by her sister Cheryl Noel, of Daytona Beach, Florida, her nieces, Amber Courtney (Mike Melane of Meridianville, Al, Yvette Watson (Jimmy) of Elizabethtown, TN, Mike Conrey (Beverly of Samsula, Florida, and Shannon Strassel of Daytona Beach, Florida, Brian Courtney (Kimberly) Of Pleasantville, Iowa, Kyle Courtney of North Carolina, as well as multiple great nieces and nephews in Iowa, North Carolina, and Florida.

Madonna was preceded in death by her father, William; mother, Patricia; brother, Harold Courtney; sister, Joyce (Courtney) Glover, and sister, Cindy Courtney.
