Funeral services for Madalynn J. (Bruce) Cameron, age 79, of Knoxville, were held from Evans-McCleery Funeral Home on Monday, April 29, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Peter J. Peterson officiating.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Cameron passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Pella Regional Health Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa and the Knoxville Rescue unit.

Madalynn was born on September 4, 1922, in Knoxville, the daughter of Charles Abraham and Ethel Kennedy Bruce.
She attended school in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1940.

She married Glenn Cameron on August 22, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois. They lived in Knoxville, where she was a homemaker and mother to four children. She also worked for 18 years for Burrell and Associates, retiring in 1983.

She was also a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church.

Madalynn passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 79 years, seven months, and 21 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in
1991, and one sister, Mary. She is survived by two sons: Glenn and his wife, Sheila,
of Dallas, Texas, and Bruce and his wife, Valerie, of Knoxville; two daughters: Susan
and her husband, Ted Deets, of Iowa City, and Kris Cameron of Cleveland, Ohio; sixMadleyn Bruce
grandchildren; a nephew: Bob Rhynsburger of Etoweth, Tennessee; a sister-in-law,
Van Cameron of Knoxville; and many other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers included Bob Rynsburger, Ted Deets, Ryan Deets, Bruce Cameron, Doug Cameron, Greg Cameron, Ross Cameron, and Glenn Cameron. Honorary casket bearers included Clint Cameron, Kelly Falke, Kristopher Cameron, Jessica Cameron, Blake Cameron, Karey Cameron, and Lindsey Deets.
