Funeral services for Lucy Louise (Sullivan) Rankin, 41, of Des Moines, who died November 10, 1995,
in Des Moines, were held November 15, 1995, at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville. The death has been ruled a homicide.

Burial was at Ottumwa Cemetery.

The Rev. Martha Hendricks officiated at the services.
Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist, and John Crawford, soloist. Pallbearers
were Dick Ford, Steve Eck, John Mavin, Gary Verwers, Gary Thornton and Tom Schemmel.
Honorary bearers were Bill Day, Jody Agan, Carl Sinclair, David Grace, Steve Warner,
Robert Propst, Larry Walshire, and Morris McKinney.

Lucy was born March 29, 1954,
in Ottumwa, the daughter of William Joseph and Alice Louise Downing Sullivan. She
was raised in Knoxville and graduated in 1972. She later graduated from A.I.B. in
Des Moines, and graduated from Grandview College with a degree in Business Administration.

She was employed at Mercy Hospital for C.I.C. Associates. She was a member of the
Plymouth Congregational Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her
paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by a brother, William "Joe"
Sullivan; and her best friend, Becky Smith, both of Knoxville; and three nephews,
Jody Agan, of Knoxville, Dave Agan of Des Moines, and Bill Day of Hartford.
